You know how it is when you visit Ikea. There is always something there that you didn't know you needed, but once you have seen it you can think of dozens of reasons for buying it.

I didn't know I needed this pretty lacy pot, but I knew it would look gorgeous full of autumn roses and I was right.

Sneak peek

This is a sneak peek of two new quilts for two new little baby boys. The quilt tops are finished and now I have to back and quilt them when all will be revealed.

Neither of my daughters like pastel nursery colours or themes so these quilts are definitely not your usual nursery quilt. However, I really like them. Very soon, you can be the judge.

Chocolate substitute

I don't really 'do' Easter decorations, but when I saw this little combination in a shop the other day I knew it had to come home with me.

Sadly, the little wooden eggs are the closest I will get to an Easter egg this year. Giving up chocolate has lessened the number of migraines I get so it has been worth the sacrifice. Pretty things will have to be my chocolate substitute.

Long time between posts

I know it has been a long time between posts when I have to re-enter my password to access my blog. There has been lots going on, but not much time to write about it. Two new quilts for two new little boys have begun and the knitting needles have been dragged out after their summer's hibernation.

However, the big news is that I have completed the top half of the centre panel of the mystery quilt. Woo hoo! The overwhelming side of this is that I now have to do it all again for the lower half.

Lucky for me that I am enjoying this quilt so much.
