We had a rare event in Perth recently, a wet Sunday afternoon. I did not need a better reason to get out a little stack of fabric which has been lurking next to my sewing machine for eons just begging to be used. These are actually the leftovers of a bigger quilt I made for Melissa some time ago. I found the little stash when I was tidying up my sewing room (another rare event) and thought if I left them under my nose for long enough, eventually I would find time to do something with them.
After I had cut them out and they were ready for sewing, they reminded me of delicate little sandwiches - perfect for High Tea on a Sunday afternoon. So I made myself a cuppa and sat back and enjoyed the sight of rain on the windows. May there be more of it.
