Rose tea

I once saw a table decorated for a wedding which really inspired me. The table was oval shaped and covered with a crisp white tablecloth. In a circle in the centre were about ten or twelve beautiful old teacups and each cup was filled to the brim with tiny rosebuds.

I have always wanted to recreate it, although in a much more modest way, but have never had enough rosebuds, or even pretty teacups. This morning as I was having my coffee in my fresh new courtyard, I looked at my rosebushes and saw that they were covered in tiny buds and I immediately knew what I wanted to do.

There is something so innocent and sweet about these tiny babies.

They are so perfect, they are almost not real. I can assure you they are and if you look closely enough you can probably see an aphid or two.
