Seven weeks to go

With the exception of a gaping hole in the middle where I ran out of fabric, the quilt top is cut and laid out on the spare bed ready to be sewn. I am hoping with all my heart that more of this fabric can be purchased.

The voile is a delight to handle and feels so soft and buttery. It is not so good to cut, however, as its lightness means it tends to fly all over the cutting mat and it was hard to cut accurately. I am looking forward to getting it to the sewing machine and with seven weeks to go I am feeling reasonably confident about finishing it in time.
