The sweetness of spring

Spring has well and truly sprung and I have been watching my sweet peas for signs that they are about to burst into flower.

Sadly, no sign has yet appeared.

So, impatient for a vase of sweet peas, I bought a little bunch at the farmers' market yesterday. I just love their soft pastel colours and the papery look of the petals.

I hope my own will flower very soon so that I can have a fresh bunch every day.
