Who needs to go to Italy when you can make gorgeous pistachio gelato in your own kitchen thanks to a little book called '500 Ice Creams'. The last time I ate pistachio gelato we were in Florence. It was winter time and the temperature was below freezing. However that did not stop us sampling as many flavours of gelato as we could. I particularly loved the pistachio so I was really happy when my mum gave me this book (on the proviso that she got to sample everything I make) and I found a pistachio gelato recipe. It tastes just as good during a hot Australian summer.
