Sculptures by the sea 2013

Sculptures by the sea is on again at Cottesloe and we went down to the beach to have a look.  We were nearly blown away by the very strong sea breeze which has, thankfully, also blown away the heat (albeit temporarily).  As well as us, some of the sculptures were also having to hang on tightly to avoid being blown off their sandy bases.

An eclectic and sometimes thought provoking group.  I especially liked the floating toys which was called Sweet Floating Dream Cloud.

The overall winner was the above installation of crocheted crows.  How clever.  Being a sometimes crocheter I can really appreciate the work that went into these birds.

Afterwards we took shelter from the wind for a coffee.
