Rain, rain go away

I know I shouldn't wish the rain to stop because we need it desperately, but it seems that we have had constant rain for days and I would really like some sun.

The shirt-stripe boxes quilt has been finished for more than a week, but as I really wanted the first photo of it to be taken with the quilt draped over that little blue boat, I am waiting impatiently for some fine weather. The ground around the lake is a quagmire and, after all the work which has gone into this quilt, I am not about to put it anywhere near the soggy droppings of the swans and ducks which live on the lake. A few days of sunshine should dry up the ground nicely and then I am off to bemuse the wildlife and the model sailboat enthusiasts.

In the meantime, here is the label which I put on the back of the quilt. I used a pocket from one of the old shirts and I think it will make a good secret hiding place for little treasures.
